Dec. 6 All- area Christmas Club at the Star 7-9p

Middle schoolers, you won't want to miss this. We are going up to the mountains, where there is a giant lit star, to sing and hang out with WYLD life middle schoolers in the area. Its going to be a blast and and awesome way to kick off the Christmas season.

WYLDlife club @ the Horizons Nov. 30

Hey all you middle schoolers, this Friday November 30 we will be hanging out with WYLDlife at the Horizons Apartments for a fun time of fellowship and worship. Hopefully you will get to see friends from your school there that are also believers. Call me if you need a ride. We will e hanging out from 7-9pm.

Free Ice Skating Sunday Nov. 4th

We have been blessed with an awesome opportunity to go ice skating at Boulder Valley Ice. A lady that works there connected with me and gave me 20 free skate passes. I would love to use all of them in one Sunday if we could, not because we have to, but because it would be sweet to get 20 of you guys all together at once to fellowship. It's open to you and a friend or two or three, just make sure you R.S.V.P. and let me know so we have enough for everyone coming. We will skate from 1:30 - 3:oo pm and this will be in place of our normal youth meeting.

Block Party #2

We had a great time at the first Blockparty. Now for BP#2. Free burgers and custard! The second Blockparty of the year sponsered by Good Times burgers will be Wednesday, Nov. 7th at First Pres's Annex Building in the youth room from 7-9pm. What is it? Blockparty is a highschool event done once a quarter where 5 or more youth group come together to worship, eat, fellowship, and play games. It has been an amazing time in the past and I look foward to you guys getting to experience it.

Pancake Pizzazz

Sunday October 14th we will be having our Pancake Pizzazz(whatever that means). Ashley and I will be having all of the youth over to our apartment for pancakes at 5pm. Our address is 11833 Ridge Parkway Apt.#528 Broomfield, CO 80021. Bring your friends, this will be a great time of good food and fellowship.

Friendship with God

We are starting a brand new study called Friendship with God. Its gonna take us back to the basics so we can really get a grip on who we are in Christ and what that means. We will also be talking about why the Creator of the universe wants to be in a relationship with each and every one of us. Its going to be an amazing study and a great one to bring your friends to. Sunday nights at 5pm at the Gibsons.

Ben's Thoughts

Hey guys(and girls). Just wanted shoot a little thank you out. Thank you all for your participation in Cool River's Youth Group. I can't tell you what an exciting adventure this position is for me. The journey that God takes each one of us on is each so unique and amazing at the same time. He places us where he wants and needs us even when we don't feel adequately equipped. I heard a saying once that goes like this, "God doesn't call the eqipped, he equips the called" and scriptures tells us that he "chooses the foolish things of this world". Well if thats the case then I am qualified, and so are each one of you. I want you all to know that you mean so much to me and I will keep giving it my all to be the best I can be, and I appreciate all of your patience as we journey together.

Ice Blocking

Middle-schoolers are you ready for some winter games in the summer? Well, do we have a treat for you. This Thursday at 5:30pm at Purple Park we will be taking some sweet runs on ice blocks. We are hooking up with Wyldlife and they are expecting over 100 of you guys to be there. The cost is just 2 bucks and you need to wear old clothes and bring a towel. Ski-bib not required. See ya there.

The Crossing

The Crossing is a place where you can hang out with other high school students from your school and other schools. It is a place where you can worship the Lord with our live band (they rock!!), grow in your faith, meet in small groups and enjoy snacks! We checked this out thisprevious Monday, and you guys really seemed to dig it. The Crossing is every Monday night and we are deciding how many times a month we will go. Let us know your thoughts.

Prayer

Guys, we are here for you and we are praying for for you. Use this to let us know how we can be specifically praying for you. Lift each other up in prayer also. And pray for our group, that God would bless us and keep unity and a spiritual zeal about us at all times.

Youth and Parent BBQ

Sunday August 19th, we will be having a youth and parent BBQ at the Gibson's house (2104 Jarosa Lane) at 5pm. Bring a side dish and drink for everyone to share. It's going to be a smokin' good time.
